Bio and Background

Aurora Roberts (BA, MA, CSB, DipC) is an Intimacy Coach, Somatic Sex Educator & Sexological Bodyworker.

Aurora’s early professional years began in academia, working on international research projects on gender and sexual health. While she was committed to writing about and researching human sexuality, most of her daily physical experience entailed sitting in at a desk in a cubicle, staring at a computer screen in a windowless room. Physically deadened and sensually drained, Aurora responded to an inner call for a life of greater eroticism and pleasure.  In 2008, Aurora began her body-based, somatic study of human sexuality through trainings in breathwork, touch, fantasy play, shadow work and body-based psychotherapy.  

She received a Diploma in Counseling and is certified in Somatic Sex Education (SSE) and Sexological Bodywork. Her training, combined with her personal experience of transformation through sensual massage, inspired her to launch a private practice as one of Vancouver’s most sought-after Intimacy and Sexuality Coach.

Aurora is indebted to her many teachers and mentors, including internationally renown Somatic Sex Educators Betty Martin and Caffyn Jesse, who she gratefully consults for advice and inspiration.  In 2023, Aurora also initiated a peer supervision group for Sexuality Practitioners in Victoria, BC, to help hold herself and others to the highest standards of excellence and ethical practice for clients.

Aurora Roberts has worked one-on-one with hundreds of clients of all genders and backgrounds, offering unique experiences of erotic awakening, expansion, relaxation, empowerment and joy.  She is inspired by the courage and creativity of her clients and the transformative, healing power of touch and pleasure.
